The Lazy Girl Mindset:

3 Foundations for a Healthier, Happier You

1. The Lazy Girl Listens To Her Body

She's unwilling to sacrifice her well-being for the perception of strength but instead chooses grace and love to honor her journey while simultaneously finding small yet substantial ways to grow in connection with oneself.

We have all grown up being told how to move, how to eat, how to treat our bodies...usually for the monetary gain of someone else. These mindsets teach us to rely on someone else to tell us how to feel about our body. Instead, the Lazy Girl mindset is that we work in harmony with our body. We don't listen to fitness culture to decide what to do with our body, we listen to what our body needs to make those decisions.

2. The Lazy Girl Rejects Exercise as a Form of Punishment

She embraces movement as an opportunity to journey toward new levels of strength, discipline, perseverance, bravery, power, resilience, respect.

We have been trained to think that moving our bodies should feel hard, that we should tell our bodies how to feel to accomplish a good workout. Instead, we are adopting the Lazy Girl Mindset to allow our bodies to tell us what it needs. Sometimes, that's a hard, sweaty workout, sometimes it's a lazy girl workout where you never leave the mat, and then sometimes it's touching grass and doing nothing.

3. The Lazy Girl Rests and Recovers

She is unwilling to work or use energy unnecessarily. Through listening to her body, she chooses to rest and recover when her body orders it.

No pain no gain, right? How many times have you pushed through a workout because you thought you had to in order for it to feel worth it?  How many times have you ignored your menstrual cycle, lost sleep because you were up all night with your kid, yet you chose to push through with a HIIT workout despite feeling pure exhaustion.  Instead, the Lazy Girl mindset recognizes that rest and recovery days are more impactful than another day of pushing yourself.
